2 Month Checkup

Yesterday on Ians 2 month birthday we took him to the doctor for his 2 month checkup. We have been wondering how much he weighs and boy is he a tub. 14 pounds (93 percentile) 24 inches (53 percentile) and his head is 53 percentile zone. Basically he is short and tubby, just like mom. Then came the dreaded immunization shots. We have struggled with this issue...to do it all or some or none. We went thinking we would spread out the shots but after talking to our doctor we gave him all the shots. He cried....it was sad. He seemed fine by the time we got home and is doing fine today. We couldn't be happier with how healthy and happy our baby boy is, he is doing great.

Andy the photographer

Andy got a stylish new camera and has been taking lots of pics. These are from our visit to Brighton and the first snow Ian has ever seen. We drove up for breakfast at the Brighton store and took a walk around the lake. A quick walk, it was very cold and snowing....

7 Week Smiles

Well it's official, he is one happy boy. We get smiles everyday and many new noises. He likes to talk to his mobile and most toys. He is most talkative in the morning. Hopefully he is a morning person like mom, his dad doesn't like morning all that much.

Lovin my mobile

Ian loves to check out this mobile...its actually pretty cool. Great investment, great distraction from diaper changing.......

2nd class citizens

They dogs are thinking they got the short end of things. However, we couldn't be happier with their behavior. They seem to not mind the baby, Rally is doing some protecting of him. When Kade (Hils dog) was here Rally reminded him a few times to back away when Ian was in the swing. They have been great. I really don't feel sorry for them, I am here all day long and they go to the park or the canyons everyday. They may not remember but life is great, better than before. I remind them often!

Our Crazy Dogs

Rally likes to pick up and carry around rocks that are nearly half her size. This video highlights one of her bright moments being psycho on a rock in the canyon.

6 Weeks Old

It's true..time flys. We are starting to be more adventurous with our outings and even went out to dinner. We have had more noises and a few smiles, I swear they are real smiles...A good story is when we went to the doctor last I told him "even though they say smiles are just gas I swear he is smiling" the doctor replied "well, most babies do not have real smiles but a baby as smart as this one is smiling". I told him I knew why we chose him to be our doctor....

Tristin why didn't we take pics?

Tristin came for a lovely visit and Ian just slept in her arms, for like 2 straight hours or more. You could tell he loves his auntie Tristin. Really who doesn't....I can't believe we didn't take any photos...at least we made salsa. Next visit will be a true photo session.
