Christmas in SLC

We had an interesting Christmas.... Oliver's First Christmas and the first Christmas that Ian actually really understood what Santa could do for him. He sat on his lap after all the other kids at his daycare did, just to make sure he wasn't too freaky. Oliver thought Santa was A-OK too. He just wanted to suck on the plastic candy cane filled with M&Ms. Lisa was awesome for arranging the close up Santa visit. That beats waiting in line for him by 100.

Arrived at Nanny and Poppas on the 23rd...all went well. Xmas eve Ian had a nap and woke up sick as sick/ High fever and not well. So that began a week of fever and movies and video games. We cancelled all our other plans and came home to get better. Bring on the new year!

Thanks huge to Nanny and Poppa, once again! We made a huge lute, ate delicious sweet rolls and left some germs for Nanny, sorry Nan.

6 months of Ollie...3 1/2 years of Ian...LOVE

Oliver turned 6 months this month. What a good baby. Seriously this little guy is so happy and easy going. His only ailment is his rashy skin. A gift from me to my children I guess. Fair toned boys. Ollie is rolling over, wants to move, sitting in highchairs, eating all sorts of blended stuff and laughing like crazy. No one entertains him more than Ian. Teeth may be on the horizon. We are so blessed to be his parents. Pure love going on here!

Ian is 3 1/2 this month. What a riot this one is. He is obsessed with supermario and his cousins Anna and Sean. He is learning to ski with his dad, a few days at the mountain and he's making pizzas and hitting the magic carpet like its no ones business. He loves preschool and Lisa's house and is reading up a storm. He is so entertaining and darling... a total character. What an age this is. Shoveling is also a top priority right now, he likes to help. Mostly I want to thank Ian for being the best big brother, he is always looking out for his baby and makes him smile all day long. Again we are lucky!

They were right.

4 months old...pure joy!

Ollie is 4 months of pure love and joy. He is so mellow, such a great happy nature. Fat and happy, just how we love em. I think he is about to break a tooth. He loves to smile and watch his brother, they are best buds...sometimes. Other times Ian could just do without him. We just got the bike trailer rolling, which gives us freedom to get out. Getting ready for the lovely fall and snow.....

Ian playing in the grass with dad. He is way into his dad!

Nanny, Poppa and Auntie Susan all made the trek to the lake. Auntie Sue got a good helping of tent camping. We told her it would build character...she swore a lot. Now she can be Ranger Sue officially in our book.
