4 months old

We had our 4 month doctor check up today. All looks well. The doctor says "he must know where to get the groceries". He weighs 17 pounds which is 83% on the charts. This is smaller that last time. He is 25 inches long and his head is big. Somewhere near the 85% in size. He had to get shots again today. Other than that he is doing great. I started work today so that is all beginning. Daycare and such. It is going to be very hard to not be with my boy. I know he will do just fine but I will miss him terribly. It is very sad but we need the bills paid.

Cute Uncle Travis

Michele just mailed these photos to us....they are adorable. Probably the cutest Ian shot yet. This was during Septembers visit. Travis is the best uncle you could ask for. I only wish we lived closer because I know he would be around alot!

Going for a walk

The weather has been so awesome we have taken lots of walks. Always in his favorite hat made by Grandma Janette.

Actual Andy Quote

As Andy changed the diaper yesterday a little faucet went off. Andy said "I think I got some in my mouth". I'm not sure I have laughed that hard in a while. This is the photo to capture the moment.

3 months

Ian is happy as ever lately. He is starting to cry less and talk more. He is much more content to just chill and look at things. This is helping my back. He wants to be sitting up and looking around. He actually tries to do sit-ups. It seems he may be teething a little. He has all the signs the book tell. Apparently it follows your parents and nanny told me I broke a tooth at 4 months. So he is drooling like crazy and sometimes seems a little bothered but not too bad. He is starting to take scheduled naps...at least he wants to sleep 1 hour after he wakes up and most his naps are 40 minutes long. He most always wakes up at 2 am and 6 am for feedings and goes to sleep at 8pm ish. This is his own schedule, nothing I have tried to force. It works out okay for us. We do not know how we lived without the little guy!

Ians First Halloween

We had two costumes for Ian. First Ian and I went to the annual Martin Halloween party. He was a pumpkin and I was his vine. Cute! Then on actual Halloween Andy dressed Ian in a monkey suit that was given to us on loan for this year. The two of them handed out candy to the trick or treaters (we had 6 doorbell rings, a record). Andy has a theory that if he gives the kids at the door tons of candy they will remember and come back next year. I think his theory may be working. We almost ran out of candy. Ian seemed to enjoy each costume equally as well. We didn't carve any pumpkins but next year we will for sure, I missed making seeds..
